Meet the Team

Shraddha
she/her
I’m from Delhi, and now living in the UK with my wife and two cats (and hopefully kids in the near future). I love being able to connect with queer Sikhs globally and create community, to find ways to make the world kinder so that we can together create space for all of us.

Makinder Chahal
he/him
Based in Leicester, UK, I work in the voluntary and community sector as a health promotion worker within holistic sexual health and HIV prevention. My passion for positive health and wellbeing is something I hope to bring to Sarbat, as well as being able to connect with others with the same vision across the world. I'm a fan of Eurovision and love travelling.

I bring to Sarbart my experience, knowledge and passion for social justice and human rights. I volunteer for numerous LGBTIQ+ based organisations, and support Sarbat through my experience of community building and organising, as well my extensive network to expand Sarbat’s partnerships.

Fabrizio
he/him
I’m from Brescia, Italy and am very happy to be part of Sarbat. I teach English literature at high school and I lead Sarbat Reads Book Club.
-
Harpreet Nahal
she / they / di (Punjabi)
I’m a 25 year old, queer woman based on the west coast in America. Finding and getting involved with Sarbat was incredible because it was my first time really meeting other queer Sikhs. Since then, I’ve realized that there’s a lot more of us than I ever knew and I hope to create a space in Sarbat where all LGBTQ+ Sikhs feel comfortable showing up in all their identities.
-
Aman
he/him
Motivated by bringing people together and building a community, I represent Sarbat from the UK’s south coast. After studying in London, I work in healthcare and contribute to Sarbat’s social media and teach Bhangra classes. My other interests include dancing, board games and writing.
