What a summer it was - It is time to say farewell to Summer 2021 with yet another picnic.
We have been very lucky (weather and vibe-wise) with our two summer picnics already and feel that this streak to continue for this one too. Keep your fingers crossed but hey come prepared for all weather.
As autumn begins to creep and hours of daylight becoming shorter, we are reminded of our obligation to help us LGBT+ Sikhs and allies connect with each other in many ways.
Our London-based volunteers are on fire (not literally but event organising wise) and it's time we have another event south of the river on Clapham Common, which is very well connected on the London underground. Exact location and contact number will be communicated to those who register. Bring an umbrella. Feel free to bring family, friends, and your pet hamster.
These are unique times requiring unique approaches to doing what we do. Outdoor picnics are subject to weather conditions and arranging an indoor venue is out of the question. So please register but only if you plan on attending as we will be limiting the numbers. Registration is also important if we need to inform you of any changes. If you feel unable to travel or meet, we will still continue with our online #SarbatSocial events. If you aren't feeling well, please stay at home. Please read the government guidance about meeting people from outside your household - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-coronavirus-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do and our duty to comply with them.
It may sound onerous, but it needn't be - Sarbat has been through several challenges and we see these times as fascinating learning experiences bringing us together in ways never seen before. Please join in.
